The next twenty years could well be the most important in human history. Humanity is rapidly approaching a crossroads. The need for macrobiotic educators skilled in the arts of personal and planetary health and healing has never been greater. The Macrobiotic Leadership Program is designed to help fulfill the growing need for Kushi Certified Teachers, Counselors, and Chefs.

Whether you wish to deepen your understanding of the laws of nature, improve your health and well-being, prepare healthful and delicious meals, or develop your skills as a professional macrobiotic educator, the Macrobiotic Leadership Program is for you. Join us in this most fulfilling, satisfying, and exciting human endeavor.

This program is amazing!  It combines wonderful knowledge on healing foods with visual diagnostic skills, and you learn how to apply them for many health issues. Along with the great classes, the daily exercise routines and DELICIOUS meals have brought unexpected benefits – in only one month I’ve lost 15 lbs and the pain and swelling of arthritis in my hands is almost gone!  I’m staying on for the next two months and looking forward to learning more, and reaping more personal benefits.”  Christine Kay, England

With over 35 hours of class/workshop time EACH WEEK – this foundational 12 week program is the most comprehensive and in-depth macrobiotic study available – anywhere. Create a schedule that works for you by attending by the week or the month, returning until you finish all 12 weeks – or attend all three months in a row.

Five core subjects: Macrobiotic Visual Diagnosis, Macrobiotic Cooking, Macrobiotic Healing, Macrobiotic Philosophy, and Shiatsu and Energy Healing, are each related to the others, providing you with a wealth of comprehensive knowledge in macrobiotic principles and practice.  The hands-on experience you receive deepens your understanding and advances your skills.  The opportunity to fully live a macrobiotic lifestyle while you are in the course provides further personal benefits.

After completing Level 3, we developed a business cooking privately for individuals, which has brought us all over the world.  It has been a fun, rewarding, and stimulating career.”

While taking the Levels, I discovered so much about myself. I am also so thankful to have met wonderful people from all over the world. I learned that macrobiotics is not about restriction or focusing on what you can’t have – it’s about finding balance in all aspects of your life, and finding peace within yourself. Most importantly, I feel better now than I ever did growing up.”

For participants from other countries needing U.S. visas:

As Kushi Institute is not licensed as a school by the State of Massachusetts, we do not have the appropriate government school identification numbers necessary for the student visa application form, and therefore you are not eligible to apply for a student visa to attend our programs.  Also, for the reason of not yet being licensed as a school, certificates of completion and graduation are not considered “academic” certificates by the United States school board or government.

Therefore, according to U.S. governmental customs and immigration laws, all Kushi Institute program participants needing U.S. visas must obtain the standard 90 day tourist visa.

It is typical for our programs to have a large percentage of participants from other countries, and unusual for anyone registered for the program to have difficulties obtaining a tourist visa. Upon registration we send foreign participants a letter detailing your registration in the program and explaining why the tourist visa is the applicable documentation.

If you have any questions on obtaining U.S. visas please contact us!
