Tao Yin Yoga
Tao Yin Yoga is about reconnecting with our inner spirit and divine nature and cultivating that warm stream of energy called love and happiness that arises from the feeling tone within ourselves.
Tao Yin Yoga provides a basic foundation for life’s exuberance and vitality. If this is nurtured, cultivated, and cherished, additional energy is generated that can be used for personal healing, raising one’s resonance, allowing greater focus in physical, mental, or spiritual pursuits. It can also be effectively directed in those areas of our world where help is most needed.
Stress, environmental and internal toxins, free radicals, poor nutrition, deficient oxygen levels in the blood, hypoglycemia, and other contributing factors result in debilitating cycles in the body, leaving us in a paradigm of fear, competition, and survival and imperils our mental, emotional, and physical health.
Tao Yin Yoga works on the physical level of the body by regulating and harmonizing the muscles and bones, the respiratory function, the circulatory function, digestive function, and the immune and nervous system by incorporating gentle yoga exercises, along with self-massage and Qi Gong elements. Emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects are addressed in this workshop through breathing and meditation techniques.
Coupled with an understanding of how whole foods can anchor our life and dissolve stress, this workshop can provide a foundation for a vibrant and healthy life.
Program Objectives and Goals:
- Understanding how exercises, food, and lifestyle choices are contributing to improving or worsening a healthy body and a vibrant outlook on life
- Walking away with simple exercise routines that can be practiced at home on a daily basis for physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being
- Learning to read trouble signs before they begin to manifest
- Acquiring practical short cuts for a busy lifestyle
- Participating in question and answer sessions to allow for an individually tailored program
A native of Germany, Bettina studied Food Science and Nutrition at the University of Muenster. She is a macrobiotic teacher and counselor at the Kushi Institute and teaches cooking and diagnosis, as well as related mind-body approaches, in Europe and America. She is the author of Authentic Foods.
