Office Receptionist
This
is a Community Resident Volunteer*(CRV) position of the Volunteer Program. Community
Resident volunteers receive the benefit of attending the Macrobiotic Leadership
Program Level(s) after completion of their commitment. This position requires
a one year commitment, which includes three consecutive CRV sessions (4 months
each). After the completion of the year, the volunteer will have earned Levels
1, 2, and 3 (a $12,000.00 value), which may be taken any time in the future. Please

Job
Overview
This position is responsible for the professional and efficient
handling of visitors, customers, telephone calls and messages, as well as a variety
of clerical duties that support customer services, information, referral and the
presentation of our professional office.
Duties and Responsibilities
·
Greets and directs all visitors, including vendors, clients, job candidates and
customers.
· Places, receives and routes calls
through switchboard.
· May assist other associates
with word processing, data entry, and internet research tasks.
·
Ensures that common areas are equipped with office supplies as needed.
·
Ensures completion of paperwork, sign-in and security procedures.
·
Provide information regarding activities conducted at Kushi Institute; location
of departments, offices, and employees within organization.
·
Respects confidentiality in discussing customer, associate, and organizational
matters.
· Maintains confidentiality of organizational
and personnel related information.
· Performs
routine office tasks necessary for the operation and presentation of a professional
office as observed by the supervisor.
· Handles
special administrative projects, as well as overflow work from department and
executive assistants.
· Responsible for scheduling
and maintaining multiple calendars.
Skill & Qualifications
·
Basic knowledge of computer keyboarding and filing is required, as well as strong
interpersonal communication skills and effective decision-making capability.
·
Ability to be organized and complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
·
Works ethically and with integrity.
