CRV positions have the possibility of turning into a paid staff position after
the completion of the CRV commitment. Please look at the position description

Information and Registration Department
Volunteer
Type :
This
position is only available for Community Resident Volunteers (CRV)
Minimum
Time Commitment:
A full year commitment is preferred (three CRV
sessions), after which, the CRV will receive Levels 1 through 3 as a benefit.
Paid
Staff Option:
Yes. If while in the volunteer position the volunteer
shows they can handle all tasks well and work well with the team, after the volunteer
commitment is completed we may consider extending their time here in a paid staff
position. In the case of someone being willing to stay here a year or more, but
not having the funds to complete a years volunteer commitment, we will consider
changing the position from volunteer to paid staff after only 4 CRV session (4
months)
Job
Description:
• Communicating about our programs with potential
customers by phone, email, and letters.
•
Entering data into database
• Processing paperwork and payments
•
May occasionally represent Kushi Institute at booths at holistic expos or trade
shows
• May help with producing promotional materials
• As with
all other volunteers, light housekeeping duties 3.5 hours per week
Hours:
•
40 hours per week, generally 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (with one hour lunch break),
but may sometimes start earlier or end later.
• Some weekend and holiday
hours are required.
Requirements:
• Good phone voice and people
skills
• Able to talk with people who may be in health crisis and emotional
•
Reliable
• Punctual
• Ability to work well with others and follow
management direction
• Good organizational skills
• Basic computer
skills – knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel helpful
• Detail oriented
and high level of accuracy
• Multi-tasking abilities
• Sense of
humor a plus
• Prior sales and marketing experience a plus, but not a
requirement

If we do not have suitable candidates applying for a full year, we will consider
a CRV who can commit to an 8 month period (two CRV sessions.)
